Compounder / Blending Operator

Description

Premier Care Industries is a rapidly expanding essential business manufacturer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning and disinfection products located on Hauppauge, NY.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Compounder/Blending Operator. The candidate chosen for the Compounder/Blending Operator position will also possess excellent people skills, be friendly, be a team player, be able to take initiative when necessary and carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies, core values and applicable laws.

Compounder / Blending Operator is responsible for the effective day -to- day operation of the Compounding area, with emphasis on the accurate weighing out of ingredients and monitoring of equipment.

Available shifts 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Responsibilities

• Function as a liaison between production, quality and inventory management to produce
batches to specifications while minimizing shrinkage of raw materials.
• Weigh or measure raw materials, ingredients or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Take samples of raw materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Start machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified times.
• Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.
• Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and
open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
• Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-3 years of comparable experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and multi task
• Strong attention to detail

Required Education and Experience: 2-3 years of comparable experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent or higher educational degree

Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred

Exciting opportunity for an Operator / Set-Up Technician. Premier Care Industries is offering a starting hourly salary based on experience and references.

The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machine
• Monitor operations of machine and report abnormalities to manager
• Perform setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and change over Packaging lines, Elsner
Machinary, Canaster Line, Ela Pack, Eman Pack
• Follow operational guidelines, perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain the cleanliness of the room and machines to prevent contamination
• Document work as required
• Responsible for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management

Skills and Qualifications

• Some experience in setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical working principles of equipment, including mechanical
assemblers helpful
• Physically able to bend, stoop and squat, stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to speak and read English

Exciting opportunity for Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic. The ideal candidate for the Mechanic position will be energetic and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions,
using voltmeters or other testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Checks that machines are readied for start-up in accordance with production schedules.
• Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. Analyze test results, machine
error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Complete investigations.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
• Time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

Quality Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Description

SUMMARY

Exciting, new opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Floor Supervisor in a fast-growing, disposable consumer products company, located on Long Island, NY.

The Quality Assurance Floor Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the company’s production activities on selected manufacturing lines, by providing ongoing Quality Assurance guidance, in order to ensure adherence to GMP/ GDP requirements and that all products/ processes meet quality specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Applies GMP/GDP principles in all areas of responsibility on a daily basis.
  • Develops good rapport and communicates well with all levels of production personnel by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship from a QA perspective on the manufacturing floor, and acting as a valuable resource to resolve all quality-related issues.
  • Assures the real time completion and accurate documentation of all AQL inspections and in-process checks in the batch records, throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Reviews and provides interim approval of the completed batch records, prior to forwarding the records to the QA department for final QA release of the finished product.
  • Ensures that any non-conformances or issues potentially affecting product quality / compliance are assessed and containment actions are determined in real time, and are brought to the attention of Sr. QA Management as needed.
  • Actively assists with the investigation of internal non-conformances and external customer complaints, in an effort to resolve them in a timely manner and to ensure that effective corrective / preventive actions are implemented, when deemed necessary.
  • Assists with company-wide QA training sessions for GMP/GDP’s, SOP’s, Work Instructions and company requirements.
  • Assists with scheduled internal audits of the manufacturing areas.
  • Participates in process improvement and waste reduction initiatives, in cooperation with other teams within the company, as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Solid knowledge of FDA regulations (GMP/GDP).
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively articulate quality related issues to all levels of production personnel.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Working knowledge of the Spanish language. Bilingual preferred.
  • Self-directed and able to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of Quality Assurance experience in a regulated, preferably pharmaceutical industry, in a Management (Supervisor or Manager) position.
