Responsibilities

  • Function as a liaison between production, quality and inventory management to produce batches to specifications while minimizing shrinkage of raw materials.
  • Accurately weigh and measure raw materials, ingredients, or finished products to ensure they meet specified requirements and production standards.
  • Collect samples of raw materials or final products for quality control testing, verifying compliance with established specifications and regulatory guidelines.
  • Initiate mixing or blending equipment to combine ingredients, ensuring operation continues for designated time intervals as outlined in production protocols.
  • Operate and monitor mixing or blending machinery to process a diverse range of materials, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to production standards.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment performance to ensure operations are running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Shut down mixing or blending equipment once desired product specifications are achieved, then activate pumps and open valves to transfer finished mixtures to the next processing stage.
  • Gather material or product samples for laboratory analysis to verify quality, consistency, and compliance with established specifications.
  • Add and blend chemicals or ingredients into processing batches using appropriate hand tools or equipment, following precise formulation guidelines.

  • Nonwoven industry equipment experience a plus.
  • Cross fold, Flatpack, Canister/Bottle Liquid filling, capping, labeling, ink jet coding, cartoner experience a plus.

The QC Technician will be responsible for inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, conducting tests, and documenting results to support consistent product excellence. Responsibilities

  • Perform raw material sampling and inspection in a controlled sampling booth environment following SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Use FTIR to verify chemical structures and confirm raw material identity.
  • Perform titrations, pH measurements, organoleptic evaluations, specific gravity, and viscosity to confirm quality attributes of raw materials, in-process and final products.

Quality Assurance Floor Supervisor - 2nd Shift

The Quality Assurance Floor Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the company’s production activities on selected manufacturing lines, by providing ongoing Quality Assurance guidance, in order to ensure adherence to GMP/ GDP requirements and that all products/ processes meet quality specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Applies GMP/GDP principles in all areas of responsibility on a daily basis.
  • Develops good rapport and communicates well with all levels of production personnel by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship from a QA perspective on the manufacturing floor, and acting as a valuable resource to resolve all quality-related issues.
  • Assures the real time completion and accurate documentation of all AQL inspections and in-process checks in the batch records, throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Reviews and provides interim approval of the completed batch records, prior to forwarding the records to the QA department for final QA release of the finished product.
  • Ensures that any non-conformances or issues potentially affecting product quality / compliance are assessed and containment actions are determined in real time, and are brought to the attention of Sr. QA Management as needed.
  • Actively assists with the investigation of internal non-conformances and external customer complaints, in an effort to resolve them in a timely manner and to ensure that effective corrective / preventive actions are implemented, when deemed necessary.
  • Assists with company-wide QA training sessions for GMP/GDP’s, SOP’s, Work Instructions and company requirements.
  • Assists with scheduled internal audits of the manufacturing areas.
  • Participates in process improvement and waste reduction initiatives, in cooperation with other teams within the company, as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of Quality Assurance experience in a regulated, preferably pharmaceutical industry, in a Management (Supervisor or Manager) position.
  • Solid knowledge of FDA regulations (GMP/GDP).
  • Strong Manager of People across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively articulate quality related issues to all levels of production personnel.
  • Working knowledge of the Spanish language.
  • Self-directed and able to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
